    Shark Tank Status Update

In December 2016 I flew to Sydney from Melbourne, Australia to pitch to the 5 investors in Network TEN's Shark Tank Australia. It was one of the most exciting things I have had the pleasure to do in my short entrepreneurial career. It was terrifying and exciting at the same time.

In this blog post I just wanted to share my experience and give you an update on how things went after my pitch.

If you watched the show you would have seen that I struck a deal with Andrew Banks. I accept his offer for $300,000 for 44% of the company. The deal was conditional on 2 key things:

    1. The seasoning would be suitable for vegetarians.

    2. We would be able to own the IP for the bacon seasoning.

The deal is still in progress. The Bacon Seasoning is 100% vegetarian (and we are working on updating it to become vegan). The IP is being dealt with successfully as well.

How has Deliciou been going since the pitch?

The popularity of our seasonings are literally EXPLODING. And it is a global demand for it. We now have more customers outside of Australia than domestically. Our seasonings are rated the highest in the country with over 500 five-star reviews. So far we have sold over 100,000 bottles to people all over the world and we will be continuing to scale the business in lightning speed!

How big is your team now?

It started out as just myself. Today we have 5 time members. It's really cool to work together with awesome people that share your passion for making cooking fun!

    Are you launching new flavours?

We have spent over 1 year developing a range of new and exciting all-purpose seasonings that will blow your mind! Stay tuned on social media for updates on when these will be released.

If you have further questions, please leave a comment and I'll get straight on to it!

    Cheers,
Kjetil Hansen - Founder & CEO of Deliciou
